General satisfaction at Hygienalia Madrid with the attendance of more than 6,000 professionals

The Professional Cleaning and Hygiene Trade Fair concluded in Madrid after three intense days where 6,005 national and international professionals from 35 countries attended, consolidating the results from before the pandemic.

Madrid, 11 November 2021 – A successful Hygienalia 2021. The Professional Cleaning and Hygiene Trade Fair closed its doors this afternoon at the Pabellón de Cristal in Madrid’s Casa de Campo with results that consolidate the event as the sector’s major benchmark in southern Europe and once again exceeded the figure of 6,000 professionals, both national and international. The event, in fact, practically equals the figures of the last pre-pandemic event, held in 2019, which was already its best. Now, after a very difficult year due to the outbreak of the pandemic and the enormous effort that has had to be made by a sector at the forefront of the fight against COVID, Hygienalia is re-emerging stronger than ever.

In this sense, according to the event’s head, Esther Cano, “We are highly satisfied with the results of a fair in which we’ve seen how professionals have responded magnificently”. Cano highlighted “The great professionalism and quality of the visitors to Hygienalia, who have shown their desire to meet their suppliers and gain access to the latest innovations in a very dynamic sector in the development of new products, machinery, technology and services”. The director also wished to give “special thanks” to the exhibitors who this year “Have chosen Hygienalia as a business platform in an important year for the entire sector, not only for returning after the pandemic but also because Hygienalia has managed to bring together in a very powerful way the entire range of cleaning products together with machinery and technology, as a result of the agreement between Feria Valencia and the sector’s business associations ASFEL and AEFIMIL, which have promoted and supported Hygienalia in a decisive way”.

Hygiene in the hotel and catering industry

The Conference Programme also closed today with the conference organised by Vijusa and Girbau on the ‘wet cleaning’ concept and sustainable solutions for laundry and dry cleaning, which was attended by Miguel Torres, Girbau’s Business Developer, and Ángel Santamaría, Vijusa’s sales technician. Hygienalia 2021 ended with another eagerly awaited Technical Seminar, in this case the one organised by the specialised magazine Hostelería & Restauración, which focused on the future of sanitisation in the hotel and catering and hospitality sector. Moderated by Magazine Director, Fernando Hidalgo, the participants were Lorena Moreno, national President of the Spanish Association of Hotel Managers and Other Entities (ASEGO); Ana María Dobaño, Secretary General of ASEGO; Miguel Ángel Herrera, from the Spanish Association of Hospitality Catering; and Lara Hubiera, a graduate in Chemical Sciences and an expert in the sector.

Hygienalia 2021 is organised by Feria Valencia and promoted by ASFEL, the Spanish Association of Cleaning and Hygiene Products Manufacturers, and AEFIMIL, the Spanish Association of Industrial and Cleaning Machinery Manufacturers and Importers. At this event, Hygienalia is hosting the exhibits of 109 exhibitor firms and brands and has been visited by 6,005 professionals from the food service sector, the food industry, facility services, the health sector, the pharmaceutical industry, service stations and public facilities and equipment.
